Yamoussoukro Mosque
The present capital of Cote d'Ivoire, Yamoussoukro was halfway between being a village and a city when I saw it in 1974. The president had built three huge places of worship, Catholic, Protestant and Muslim, so as not to offend anyone. Everything was new and unfinished.
